On the road again after an almost Passover disaster
We're heading out of Chicago after a terrific Seder and good nights sleep at the home of our friends the Rangells (we also saw them during our 2002 tour when they lived in Denver).
Our Columbus stop at the Apple Store was great, with a nice sized crowd of people at our raffle. Rebecca loved just hanging out in the store - probably because she was surrounded by Staci's friends and family who were so nice to stop by (Staci helps us at home with Rebecca and is from Columbus).
We had a good lunch at California Pizza Kitchen, enjoyed a quick dinner in Indianapolis at Santorini Greek Kitchen, and pulled in to Chicago late that night.... and that's where our troubles began.
We had a freak accident/mishap with the RV (don't ask) that I won't go into but it no longer was road worthy. Fortunately the kids weren't in it and everyone was fine but we had to cancel our local events.
Although it took some time, it was El Monte RV to the rescue again - they got us into another fine Fleetwood RV so we could make it to the Rangell Seder and get on our way.
So we're on the road again - heading towards St. Louis - more to come....
In the meantime...here are some new videos to enjoy...

Chicago to Salt Lake City
The past few days were mostly uneventful (pun intended - no events until Salt Lake City yesterday).
Rebecca is having the best time in the RV - she loves it - and Sam's been having a lot of fun too.
On the way to Kansas City we stopped in St. Louis to visit the Gateway Arch.
On the tram ride down from the top we met a family from Morton, Illinois (which we learned is The Pumpkin Capital of World). After hearing about our cross-country tour and my Special Needs Parent Handbook, the mom told us she was a teacher of children with special needs.
She was very excited to take a packet of books to distribute to local libraries and resource centers in her area.
The next day the kids enjoyed Rolling Hills Wildlife Adventures in Salina, Kansas and we stayed overnight in Denver.
We had a very scenic long drive through the beautiful snow covered hills of Wyoming - 8600 feet and then down in the valley with amazing views, cows, buffalo llamas and on to Salt Lake City (more Passover themes in the weather - hail, snow, wind and rain (but no locusts as far I could tell).
We were met in the Apple Store by a former babysitter, Melissa Celauro and family and had a good crowd for our raffle and then a great dinner at Z Tejas.
Now we're on to LA via Las Vegas!

Made it to LA and heading home
After a quick stop in Vegas, dinner in California Pizza Kitchen, and a swim, on Saturday morning, we headed to LA to finish our tour.
We were greeted by a large crowd of friends, family and other well wishers at The Apple Store at The Grove.
It was warm and sunny so we did our raffle outdoors:

We ended the day across the street at Whole Foods Market Fairfax:

No trip to LA would be complete with out a visit to In-N-Out Burger and now we're headed
home after a great trip.
Thanks for following along and we look forward to seeing you soon.
